Does anyone know what that plastic material is that the blue light shines though is called? Also, what about the "metal" strips that create the boxes?

Thanks.

[st]That would likely be frosted Arcrylic glass.[/st] And the metal is probably just aluminum or polished steel.

EDIT: Err, on closer inspection, that looks to be a plastic sheet.

Yeah, ok. But is there a certain name for it or anything? Or do you know where to buy it? Someplace like Lowe's?

Thanks!

I checked around Google and found this, but it's pretty thin. Maybe you could email someone like FX Group, KPTV (that's a local set, right?), or one of the set fabrication companies and ask them what it is exactly and where it can be acquired.

Yeah. I've tried searching Google. I guess I'll try and email. It is a local set.

You could probably achieve that look with a properly size sheet of Lexan and an opaque acrylic finish.

Check out what KHIZ did in SoCal. They built an entire set from stuff just from Ikea.
