I LOVE YOU MIKE! I LOVE YOU JANE!

What a schmuck!! Why didn't he just tell Jane McGarry, "do you want some of this?". It was pointless for Jane to be sobbing her eyes out over a simple reduced workload. Comparing other displays like this in the market, Tracy Rowlett's retirement had less emotional showings than this.

Mike is essentially being pushed out the back door, slowly, but surely. In two years time, i'm sure he'll be long gone. Sad, he's a really nice guy. But, it just goes to show - everyone is expendable.

Uh, maybe because they've been a team for many years and she'll miss working nightside with him?

It's one fricken newscast that he won't be on. I understand NBCU slowly pushing him out the door but what Jane did and the way Mike mentioned his 10pm departure was a bit much. I can think of many anchor teams who didn't do this type of crap when someones workload got reduced.

Read the comments on Uncle Barky's page, many people agree with me plus I don't live in DFW area but even I knew KXAS' newscasts don't do well compared to WFAA or KDFW.
