Bucc 4
News10 in Albany, NY will start a 4pm newscast on September 21st. Veteran Anchor Lydia Kulbida will anchor with Elisa Streeter along with chief meteorologist Steve Caporizzo. Lydia was fired earlier this year/late last year by WNYT -which use to be this markets #1, speculation is that because they fired her is the reason the ratings have dropped. This will be a Female geared 1/2 hour program and it will be followed by Inside Edition, which WRGB now airs around 2:30am. I think this is Good news, a local newschannel putting effort into their newscasts, but in a market like Albany it will be interesting to see if people home at that time will watch this newscast, Ellen, or Oprah (as of now that is what this newscast is up against)---only time will tell from the Albany Times Union: http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=836884 from Lydia's Blog: http://blog.timesunion.com/kulbida/2009/08/31/i-have-a-new-job/#comments from WTEN: http://www.wten.com/global/story.asp?s=11021293 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/5741-wten-news10-albany-to-start-a-4pm-news-cast/ Share on other sites
