Because they don't offer NS2000 anymore so "Plus" doesn't make much sense. They appear to have updated it if you go to http://www.garimediagroup.com/music/, and stations that are looking for new packages will have no idea (or care) that it used to be called News Series 2000 Plus.

Just to give the package a "name". On Gari Media Group's website, they've added a sampler showcasing some "New Generation" cuts of Stimulus.. Actually, some of those cuts have been around for quite a while now but never officially added to the package until more recently. WLS rejected cuts, I should say. On the sampler, a couple of the cuts are combination NS2000+/Eyewitness News signature cuts. If you notice, the cuts on the sampler aren't really fitting for WLS either.

 

For a few years now too, News Series 2000 Plus has just been thrown in as a part of the Eyewitness News package as just a different signature variation. You get Eyewitness News, you can get the NS2000+ too. WLS uses cuts from both packages..
