newscenter 0
I saw a symphony orchestra perform the 20th Century Fox Fanfare. This was for the FOX Network entering its third year as the forth network (1988-89 Season) Also, I saw the Royal Philharmonic perform the music to the cable channel - and FOX's sister network - out of London SKY Television http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeXElpLA8zI Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/6147-what-is-it-with-rupert-murdoch-and-the-orchestras/ Share on other sites
Jess 1115
Well, the fanfare is possibly the most important part of the Fox brand image. Doing a spot with a live orchestra performing the Fox fanfare, especially in the embryonic days of the network, was simply common sense. As for the Sky Symphony, that was actually arranged and composed by Frank Gari in his heavy synthesized days. That spot never ceases to amuse me, because it shows members of the Royal Philharmonic "performing" Gari's achingly obvious synthesized score.
