lazynetjunkie 34 Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Out of curiosity, have any of the FOX stations out there that use the Blyth design O&O set replaced their large RP wall screen yet? I'm just wondering because WFLD FOX Chicago recently replaced their large RP screen on the set with a large (103", maybe?) plasma and WFLD's current Blyth set is only about 8 months old.. Most of the Blyth FOX sets have been out at other stations for a few years now and you'd think they'd be first at replacing that sort of thing especially since the large RP screen isn't the wide HD format. It kinda makes me wonder why they didn't just make that large screen HD format to begin with.. Since WFLD's new plasma isn't as tall as the RP screen space, they just filled in the extra space with a silver steel strips to match the existing borders on the top and also on the bottom.
TennTV1983 806 Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Haven't seen anything like that happen at other stations. The only change I've seen at WHBQ in Memphis is that they replaced a wall on one side of the studio with a "diner booth" set that they use for the fifth hour of Good Morning Memphis.
WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 WTXF replaced theirs with an HD rear projection screen they adopted the new O&O graphics last year.
