PelicanGuy 117
This past Friday was 6 and 10 pm anchor Kriss Fairbairn's last day at WDSU due to retirement. She was at the station from 1990-97 and from 2001 until Friday. Fairbairn said she would continue to do special projects and event coverage for the station. http://www.nola.com/tv/index.ssf/2010/02/kriss_fairbairn_to_retire_from.html http://www.wdsu.com/video/22617088/ Also, sports director Jim Henderson has recently signed a two-year extension with WWL-TV, according to a station press release. Henderson said he will end his TV career with Channel 4, but didn't say when. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/6242-new-orleans-briefs/ Share on other sites
ThatSowislander 52
Was Kriss offered a buyout to leave, just like former longtime met Dan Milham? Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/6242-new-orleans-briefs/#findComment-57516 Share on other sites
PelicanGuy 117
WDSU isn't saying, but it certainly looks like Kriss' departure went down the same way as Dan's. Now the message board on the station's Web site are full of posts from those who say they want former WGNO anchor Liz Reyes anchoring with Norman Robinson. In the meantime, it looks as if Camille Whitworth is with Norman at 6 pm while Scott Walker is with him at 10 pm. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they rotated anchors...they have like 50 million of them.
