NYnewsFan 0 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I was just reading the sports section of yesterday's Post and came across this article. WCBS is deciding to stay in house when they decide on a permanent weeknight sports anchor. http://www.nypost.com/seven/02092007/sports/wcbs_2_stays_in_house_sports_andrew_marchand.htm I hope they give the job to Ducis.
cbs2idiots 24 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Lets cross our fingers and hope its Ducis. He proved to us that he is steady and capable. I dont like Sam Ryan
ryinthesky9 0 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Ducis deserves it, but I think that Sam will get it because logic doesn't really play a big role in any of Ch. 2's decisions.
SuitSnob 19 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I vote for Ducis. Can someone explain to me how Chris Wragge got an Emmy nomination for best sportscaster while Dicus and John Discepolo did not?
cbs2news 0 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Ducis should get it. He's a terrific sports anchor with great chemistry with the anchors. Also, he's been at CBS 2 longer than any current sports anchor at the station.
gilligan 0 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I vote for Ducis. Can someone explain to me how Chris Wragge got an Emmy nomination for best sportscaster while Dicus and John Discepolo did not? They probably didn't submit any tapes. What about Scott Clarke at 7 or Scott Stanford at 9?
budtkaboy2000 0 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 If they're trying to promote him to the viewers as a news anchor, putting him up for a sports award isn't a good idea.
NYNews 54 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I think it's going to be Ducis. Because wasn't part of Ryan's contract coming to WCBS was that she would contribute to CBS sports as well? I don't know if the network would allow her to leave that obligation.
qwertywcbs 0 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Ducis. but he will be missed in the mornings... he does well with Kate and Maurice. Maurice in particular really seems to like him. He'll also be really good as anchor of Sports Sunday, which I believe comes with the lead sports anchor job. (plus it would be an easy transition, considering he anchored Sunday Blitz and the previous Sports Rap Live)
TVNewsWatcher 6 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I think the job should go to Ducis...he's really proved himself..and he's very good at what he does..
qwertywcbs 0 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Ducis made an interesting comment on Sports Sunday tonight. He said "Tiki's done now, maybe he'll take my job." It'd be interesting if that was to happen... Tiki back in the morning on CBS 2... but he wouldn't be my lead choice for that job.
