Daniel Schorr died at the age of 93. He was one of the last men who worked with Edward R. Murrow at CBS and worked there until his being sacked in 1976 due to not giving up the source on a key CIA leak (Schorr had prominently covered Watergate as well). Following his firing, he resurfaced at CNN and finally NPR, where he was a commentator until just two weeks ago.
