lazynetjunkie 34
I've noticed the past few nights that change has come to FOX Chicago News at 9. The newscast is back to the more traditional style newscast. The interviews/commentators/chit-chat have been cut WAY down and are reserved for the middle to towards the end of the newscast. Lighting seems to have been readjusted on the set for the better. It doesn't look like everything is washed in bright white lights anymore. It's much easier on the eyes. I also noticed tonight they started broadcasting the 9PM news in the HD in SD format with the black bars on top and bottom of the screen like the FOX News Channel does. I forgot the technical name for that.. lol. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/6920-fox-chicago-9pm-changes/ Share on other sites

lazynetjunkie 34
It's called letterboxing. Thanks. I had one of those moments that I knew the word but I couldn't get it to come out.
