GR3 Weather Radar

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for in saying "broadcast-like radar", but GRLevel3 does have significant customization options and features that can mimic some of the things you may see on TV radar displays. Ability to display city streets, overlay topography maps, customize the color table for certain radar products, as well as a few others. "Smooth Zooming" is also an option where you motion into a zoom box you have defined as most TV displays have. Things like sweep lines and rotating cylinders, as well as most importantly, storm tracks, are not included, for a variety of reasons including some legally. Sweep lines are not included as the radar data is not 'live'.

As blueflag suggested, it would also be wise to check their website and post in the forums if you have any specific questions for the developer. I can tell you upfront that these programs are not meant to mimic TV radar displays but rather be a scientifically accurate and logical program for viewing radar data. That said, as mentioned, some of those aspects you see on TV can be done, however.
