I think it is Paralucent Bold. http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/device/paralucent/bold/

That logo reeks of the mid-to-late 90s (correct me if I'm wrong), and Paralucent was designed in 2000, so I'm thinking probably not.

Could possibly be a distorted Helvetica Black Extended, or it's not out of the question that they just drew a '2'.
