  1. WMMS was really creative and clever back in its heyday before Clear Channel bought the station and killed any soul that was at 100.7. Back to the cereal, this does get me wondering if WEWS will make a "Power of 5" cereal that's sold at either Marc's or Giant Eagle.

  2. I've noticed they've decided to zoom in on the evening anchors when they're doing a single shot, sort of an extreme close up. The anchor's faces seem to take up a majority of the screen now, more than the other local stations. Is this a new thing with the Fox local o & o's now?

  3. I remember her through research that she and ironically enough, Frank Robertson (retired), anchored WSVN's NewsCenter 7 - LIVE at 5:00 together and the two end up working together again when Denise moved to WTVT and reunited with Frank again on WTVT's 5pm news when it was a 3-person crew with Frank's husband, Kathy Fountain (another retiree). This is who WTVT has lost in the past year: Anne Dwyer (this past Summer, June 18th, 2014) John Wilson (the day before Thanksgiving last year) Denise White (the day before Thanksgiving this year) Man, WTVT 13 is losing some very good people. And I love WTVT 13. Very sad that she's leaving. I'll miss her there. But now, who will replace her?

  4. WFMZ is a fine station. The set could use a re-fresh. But, that's not their big issue. Last evening at 6pm, their second story was "are pedestrians more likely to be involved in accidents now that the sun goes down earlier." Cutting edge journalism at it's worst. They have some good reporters, who won't stay very long. The station is very lazy in it's day to day coverage. The morning anchor team is polished, but tired. The evening team hasn't changed in years. And, the fresh idea for their 4pm news was to add another cooking segment. It's suburban TV at it's best. But, hardly Philadelphia worthy. Trashing the owners commentary at 10pm is old news. Sometimes he makes a good point. And, it's clearly not part of the newscast. Crying about the commentary tarnishing your high journalistic standards, makes you sound like an out of control intern.
