  2. They might have a record for set and look changes in the 90s - just a couple years later they switched to the antique logo

  3. And Nexstar won’t let go of WJW unless Fox made them an offer they couldn’t refuse.

  4. I think Sinclair is due for a reckoning, (fire sale) and Meredith may be a seller before they know it. Sinclair is obviously hurting from the enormous debt from all of their M&A and bad purchases (the RSN's), and Meredith is reeling from their magazines and advertising declines.

  6. Do you guys think that perhaps Sinclair and Meredith both might go under? Sinclair is not a surprise here but its Meredith that's the bigger of the surprise here

  8. I wonder what the reasoning is for holding on to their layouts from Dispatch. Although I'm not holding my breath much, I personally would prefer that they keep the Dispatch layout. I really like the way Dispatch did their sites--especially WBNS.

  9. It will be interesting to see how CBS does weekends after all of this is over. Hopefully they’ll move the weekend news into the CBS “news hub” (formerly studio 47) it looks great on tv and worked much better than the cluttered, odd studio 57 newsroom set.

  12. WTVJ 1994 BTS at the TODAY show before the move to studio 1A. WCIX (now WFOR) and WTVJ explains the big channel swap months before it happened on 9/10/95.

  13. WRLH is probably bound under contract of their affiliation to air a newscast...so they will take what they can get from WWBT. If not, Fox goes bye-bye and Sinclair is SOL in Richmond. It makes it more awkward since Sinclair has been denied THREE TIMES from getting WTVR. First from the required divestiture when Lincoln merged with Raycom, then the failed Sinclair-Tribune merger, and because of that, being blacklisted from acquiring the Tribune leftovers in the Nexstar merger, letting WTVR go to Scripps
