  1. Pix11 chooper is not down.. They were on the air this past week. Information is invalid. I've checked the discord, and there's no mention of it.

  2. Remember when Gray tried to recreate WABC’s old look? Looking at this and seeing the Beehive graphics, it’s clear that Gray really needs a new graphics department.

  3. All the replies above this are spot on, couldn’t say it better. I think the gem of this article is: “As previously reported by The Post, O’Donnell’s predecessor Jeff Glor was making a modest $2 million.” So Jeff did it for $2M, they fired him, signed Norah for $8M for the same result, now have Norah at $3.8M. Seems like Jeff really got screwed.

  4. A lot of 'storm chaser' vehicles usually have a screen on an arm attached to the hatchback door to present a forecast outdoors...but they're usually always set to a very vivid mode and they usually use known brand name sets (often weatherproofed) with a very low-profile bezel. This one is a closeout 720p special (this one, specifically, a 24" 720p model with RCA and VGA hookups, and a '3.4 mm headphone output' (!); the brand is called Furrion, which specializes in RV TVs no sensible person would ever consider)...whoever picked out that unit should be fired; that's unacceptable even for one of those back-set monitors that plays a competitor station for decor. Even a damned iPad mini would be better than that POS. Do better, Fox.

  5. My entire point here is that we don't know what is going to happen. The claim that "3K is history for WNBC" seems premature as the only thing we know is that the two stations are moving into a shared workspace. Shared workspaces does not equal new studios. Like I said, I hope WNBC does get a new set but there's no evidence at the moment to support that. Only speculation. I haven't forgotten that 30 Rock used to be filled with radio studios. But all of the radio studios that were capable of being transformed into television studios were converted over half a century ago. As for Studio 1A, it used to be a bank and the ceiling in that space, as is true for most ground floor retail space, is a story and half. In fact, the area over homebase didn't have a ceiling above it at all. You could look down from what is now the SPA into Studio 1A. But my aside about construction clearly became a distraction from the fact that neither B&C or NewscastStudio made any mention of WNBC getting a new studio.

  6. IMO Chris has been with MSNBC since day 1 and I think she's qualified to replace Brian Williams as the new chief anchor, taking over rolling coverage whenever there's breaking news.

  7. I know many people dislike Chuck Todd. With the show being moved to 1:00 from 4:00, and now moving from cable to streaming, I have to wonder if this is another step that may Todd may eventually leave MTP and NBC News all together.

  8. The less Chuck Todd the better, I always say!

  9. Congrats to Chris! She has earned this. Honestly, what can’t this Woman do? Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, overnights, special reports, breaking news, politics, sports, protest coverage, filling in on holidays, campaign trail, press briefings and more. She carry’s that network and she knows it. Chris deserves this more than anyone IMO, and don’t forget, she does all that while being 65 years old! --- Chris Jansing Reports premiers on Thursday, May 26th.

  10. This might sound weird but what if MSNBC had a different person host the 9PM ET hour every night permanently? My idea: Mondays: The Rachel Maddow Show Tuesdays: Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross Wednesdays: Alex Wagner Thursdays: Velshi with Ali Velshi Fridays: Someone from the weekend such as, Ayman Mohyeldin, Alicia Menendez or Katie Phang. Each host would bring a different perspective and different set of topics with them, it would make each night a must watch for MSNBC viewers as they’d only see them once a week. (with the exception of those who have weekends shows.) They could even have Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle team up and bring back Velshi & Rhule on Thursdays if they wanted, the options are endless and would create a strong, stable competitor that viewers would love. Just an idea. Let’s hope they don’t mess this up.

  11. Alex Wagner filling in for Rachel tonight felt right in so many ways. I hope she gets the time slot when Rachel cuts back. Now we just have to hope for Shep or Tom when Lawrence retires.

  12. Former WBZ-TV news anchor/reporter Shelby Scott has passed away at the age of 86. Scott later became the president of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and helped spearhead the merger with the Screen Actors Guild.
