  1. Clips from WTVT's Eye on Tampa Bay, 1991
  2. WAVY morning/noon co-anchor Kerri Furey is leaving the station after 15 years. http://hamptonroads.com/2012/10/morning-anchor-kerri-furey-leaving-wavytv
  3. Definitely digging that Charleston stuff! I like that WCIV theme too... I have a funny feeling it's a piece of production music. I'd love to hear more of that "WCSC 1990s theme" that I know was used as early as 1991 and as late as 1993 (probably later than that?).
  4. WLFL news open... I think this is from around 98 or 99
  5. Allan Hoffman plans to retire this fall after 26 years as anchor at WNCT in Greenville, NC. http://www2.wnct.com/news/2012/apr/13/2/allan-hoffman-announces-plans-retire-fall-ar-2160592/
  6. Segments from WTVD and WRAL newscasts, 1992: http://youtu.be/ecsaCLYs-sQ http://youtu.be/9jydqqNkIfM Includes a WTVD promo from 1998: http://youtu.be/yYQBtrNKfLI Includes severe weather coverage from WRAL and WTVD, 1998: http://youtu.be/sZF9auzNXhY http://youtu.be/qga2qyPK8X4 Includes WSYX open from 1993: http://youtu.be/BkhAsEYIUiw There are other clips spread throughout that channel... they're a little hard to find!
  7. Listen closely... it's the "WBNG 1996 News Theme"
  8. I don't know when you'll find this message. But you will.
  9. Oops, didn't get them all. I'll leave the rest up to everyone else! How about 2 hours and 43 minutes of classic Good Morning Arizona? Sorry I didn't put this one up since the file is too big for me to download: http://www.archive.o...obacco_iny27a00 Why they uploaded the whole show for one little segment is beyond me (but who cares!) EDIT: It's not the whole thing... there's All My Children on there for some reason... and it's from 1994, which means the "KTVK 1998 News Theme" is older than 1998
  10. The Sinclair package is part of U-phonix now (it has been since WROC picked it up, at least)
  11. Here's an audio sample of WIBW's use of it, which is how I was able to submit their entry of the theme to the NMSA a couple years ago. I linked the file but he never put it up... http://web.archive.org/web/19970705020635/http://www.wibw.com/theme6.au
  12. I have a compilation of news opens from the Internet Archive, with many, many more coming:
  13. In Roanoke/Lynchburg... WSET overtakes WDBJ at 6pm to become the most-watched local news in that timeslot. "For the first time in at least two generations, WDBJ-TV (Channel 7) does not have the most-watched 6 p.m. newscast in the region." http://www.roanoke.com/news/breaking/wb/296648
  14. My guess would be a lighter variation of the same theme. The music in the "Sharing the Vision" promo sounds kinda the same style, so it could be part of a custom package.
  15. He also uploaded a WNCT promo and IDs from 1990: Would love to see more Eastern NC video.
  16. All but one of those are post-2000... so this post would fit more in the other thread! haha
  17. KOVR channel 13 is now broadcasting in stereo! Hear the difference: ooooh, ahhhh
  18. I LOVE IT and the WCSC opens are cool too
  19. Just a heads up to people... most of the opens in this batch are from 2008-2010
  20. I'm STILL waiting on a WTKR Ignitor open!
  21. These finally got on the NMSA as the "WGGB 1993 News Theme." From what I can tell, it's exactly the same as the "WGGB 1994 News Theme" that was already on there, it's just that the opens in each entry are from different times. Not sure why there are two entries for the same theme?
  22. Yeah, it's from Kilborn's appearance on Leno last month: http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/video/craig-kilborn/1239310/
  23. WXII talent bump 1996: WXII weather 1996:
  24. WGHP news promos, 1994:
