Here's WTKR's open from around the same time for comparison. It's pretty similar, just a little more fast-paced. This debuted in early 1992 (Jan/Feb)

Ava Hurdle is retiring after 37 years with WAVY-TV. Those updates came about 1990... maybe late 89. There are other Turn To updates only used by sole stations, like WMC... but those have the classic Gari early 90s sound. The later WVEC theme definitely has a unique sound.

They used that new(?) Spirit of Texas-ish theme to close the show. When Storm Mode is off we'll get a better idea of what cuts will be used regularly.

I was watching 13 this morning and was curious as to how this would pan out; if they would scrub the new graphics til 5 or not. WTKR and WAVY have been doing nonstop coverage all morning with no break.
