Judging from the promos in these commercial breaks from 1996, KCRA had a fantastic promo dept. in the mid-90s. Very theatrical, not "newsy"... at 3:48 at 7:56 Note the "Where The News Comes First" motif in the music on both spots.

Eh... I think it's the graphics. Maybe not classy, but it sure as hell beats the gaudy from a few years ago. I find the package unique, it fits WJZ.
