NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw (New York) and Roger Mudd (Washington) from 1983 After the 2:50 mark: their exchanging sign-off and the closing electronic theme with the world-famous NBC Chimes. This was two years before they got real theme music, which we all know and love; that would be NBC News theme - The Mission - from John Williams (released in 1985).
