  1. In addition to "The Four" KFMB is doing some tinkering with it's evening schedule. News 8 at 5 is shortened to a half hour, CBS Evening News at 5:30, and an hour long News 8 at 6.
  2. Oh yeah, you're probably right. I forgot about Neda. She'll take over morning weather and probably report for 11a and noon. One could only hope they have a new set coming in the near future. We're nearing 10 years on this one. I think the Tegna influence at KFMB has been mostly confined to mornings.
  3. Seems like they may be going in the lifestyle direction with this broadcast. I just saw a commercial with Shawn Styles promoting a regular cooking segment he's gonna be doing for the show. Also, I need to make a correction. The show will be done with Heather Myers, not Barbara Lee... Seems like a long day for Heather unless she will be leaving mornings...
  4. Looks like KFMB is getting back in the 4p news game. Without having looked into it, seems like they dropped Judge Judy, since that was her slot. It will be fronted by the 5 o'clock team.
  5. Crystal Egger popped up doing weather on KNSD when I tuned in at 4. I know they are down a weekend weather anchor and looking into it, she's been on air at least since March. Not sure if she's permanent for the weekend or freelance as she has no bio on their site.
  6. KSWB sent Heather Lake on a cross country trip to Miami. But also, there were reporters there with their mic flag. That pic probably wasn't all of them.
  7. I do agree. I think this package does have great potential if executed better. Also, it's their first day and there are graphical elements they haven't even used yet based on the screencaps posted earlier in this thread. I do like the direction it's going though; much more modern than what they currently have. The current package grew stale to me after the first year. I also really wasn't a fan of Inergy. KGTV didn't really use too many different cuts so that got old quickly as well for me.
  8. Apparently KSWB now has a half hour 7pm show. Also, I noticed at 4am there's a show called Fox 5 Behind the Scenes, on right before the 4:30am news... Not sure what that is. Has anyone else seen it?
  9. Missed this, it was Jenn Karlman's (of KSWB) last day on Aug 9. Just saw a post on Instagram that Maria Arcega-Dunn is taking her place starting 9/9.
  10. KNSD's Whitney Southwick is retiring today.
  11. Jason Martinez's last day at KGTV was this past Friday.
  12. Today was Gene Cubbison's last day at KNSD! He is retiring! He is going to be missed for sure! KNSD did a nice piece on him.
  13. I agree. They were way better in the late 90's. I don't care to watch these days and I wish Sandra Maas was somewhere else, not there. I can't even bring myself to watch Carlos in the morning though I loved him on KTLA. I still watch them in the morning.
  14. So at KNSD, Llarisa Abreu was doing weather on this mornings broadcast with Whitney there doing traffic. Not sure if this is permanent as her bio indicates she does weekend weather and her bio has been updated since Jodi was let go.
  15. I think most stations here in San Diego have predominantly females doing weather.
  16. KNSD does the same thing. Jodi is the meteorologist and does the weather in the morning. Whitney just does traffic and then does weather for Midday.
  17. Lol, I know. Just takes some getting used to. Prepping us for the O&O graphics. Hahaha.
  18. KSWB got new mic flags. Kinda weird looking to me... But maybe a precursor to a new logo...
  19. Robert Santos has surfaced at KNSD... Didn't realize he wasn't at KGTV, though it makes sense. Probably freelance.
  20. I've been waiting for them to do this, since this is similar to KTLA. I wonder why only until 6 and not until 7. Also, I wonder if Brad will do weather from 430-6?
  21. Well there you have it!
  22. Apparently Chris Murphy is coming back to San Diego as an anchor at KSWB. Not sure what slot he is filling. http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/on-the-move-92016/178380?utm_medium=newsletter&utm_source=tvspy&utm_campaign=dailynewsletter20160920
  23. My guess is Abbey Gibb will replace her (she was on this morning with Sharon Chen and Abbey sat in Raoul spot). She filled in a lot when Erica was on maternity leave and when Erica came back I wondered, what are they going to do with her. Now it all makes sense in hind sight.
  24. Well, it looks like Ruben Galvan has returned to San Diego and resumed his position at XETV. Saw him reporting from Comic Con this morning. I had also seen marching in the pride parade on Saturday but I didn't think anything of it. Jim Patton and Lynda Martin also marched.
