    KOSA-TV 7 Odessa/Midland, TX: "NewsCenter 7" (1983) - http://www.youtube.c...h?v=cJn4avjXaS0

Midland High School Homecoming (1985) -

Info: This video includes clips from KTPX (KWES) and KMID. Watch for a KMID news close at the end with the voice of Chuck Riley(?). KMID was owned for a brief time in the mid to late 1980s by Lorimar-Telepictures.

    KOLO-TV 8 News (1984) -

Info: This is actually a fake newscast put together by KOLO-TV's news team. Includes the intro for "Eyewitness News: Front Page" which features a great synth piece.

  2. There's more...

WVLT-TV 8, the CBS affiliate, aired a promo on Saturday night and noted that "Local 8 News First at 4:00" will air for a full hour starting Monday, September 12th. There could be some new graphics as well, but we'll see what happens come next Monday.

  3. Here in Knoxville, a few things have been going on:

WVLT-TV 8, the CBS affiliate, rebranded their newscasts from "Volunteer TV News" to "Local 8 News" just a couple of days ago. The station kept their "Volunteer TV" branding as well as their current graphics.

WBXX-TV 20, the CW affiliate, re-entered the 10pm news race over a month ago with the launch of "The CW20 News at Ten" with Kristen Farley from WATE. With this newscast, the news-share agreement with WATE and WBXX came into effect and will be launching news in high definition this Fall.

More details as they become available.

  4. I found some amazing news-related and television ID-related videos on Youtube:

    KMBC 10:00pm News Clip (11/20/1983)

(Includes the closing credits to a local discussion program on KMBC called "Sunday, Nuclear Sunday" and that night's news open using Gari Media Group's "So Good To Turn To")

WBRZ Baton Rouge News Clip (1985)

    WAGA News Close (1986)

(This clip features the final story of the newscast and the close using "Tuesday8" by Tuesday Productions)

    WAGA 5 Promos (1984)

(Some promos feature the graphics that were used on other stations like WDVM, KGMB, and other stations across the United States and Australia)

WBRE Eyewitness News at Sunrise (1988)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TegXwpkdlA8 (The open features an interesting cut from Michael Randall's "NewsCenter II" music package)

    Super Time Sign-Off (Late 1970s?)

(This is a rare signoff of "Super Time" from sometime in the late 1970s. I do believe that KTSF used this channel during the evening hours in the 1970s)

    - This is a WFMY 6:00pm news open from around 1986 or 1987. EllsworthC, a member on Youtube, created this news open using the Ampex ADO during one of his late night play sessions during his time at WFMY.
