And at the very end, a tease for the arrival of Sylvia Chase as the new coanchor. I actually ran into Emerald Yeh from this clip on a flight from SF-NY a couple weeks ago and she hasn't aged much in the last 25 years. She boarded at the very end. 2/19/1985 KPIX Eyewitness News Nightcast - Part 1 of 3 Parts 2 and 3 are easy enough to find from that link. Full newscast from a transition period at KPIX -- several months after a new set and logo debuted, but before the graphics and music were changed, though some unique weather graphics had switched over. Number one newscast though. You have to respect the quick but still easy to follow pacing of the pre-show.

1995 KARE 11/KSTP 5/WCCO 4 footage. You get a good look at the KARE 11 early 90s set that bridged between the original 1983 Gannett-style set and the 1996-2007 set -- though all 3 are evolutions of each other. The video date is wrong -- the outbreak was in Feb 1995.

Here's the KPIX link. Clip is from about May 1988...shortly after the set/open were introduced. I think a bit later they introduced some better choreographed bay area visuals. Vaguely remember the altamont windmills and some ferry shots.
