Local TV station WCBD had no morning or midday news on Thursday. Because a guy cut their internet and telephone lines. He has been arrested.

WTOC weeknight anchor Jody Chapin retired Friday after over 30 years at the station, to spend more time with her family.

Here is some very rare WCBD from 1980. One teaser starting at 5:18, then at 7:07, a promo for former weatherman Specs Munzell, then another teaser featuring both of their news anchors at time.
Very sad news out of Savannah. WTOC morning news anchor Don Logana was killed in a car wreck early this morning. This is now the third WTOC male news anchor to die in the last decade. Steven Shoob died in 2008 in a car accident on I-95; Mike Manhatton succumbed to cancer two years ago, and now this.
Prayers to him, his family and for that TV station.

Here's a morning re-open from WCSC's morning news. No date given on this, but I'd say it is sometime between 1995 and 1997, since they still were in their downtown Charleston studios.
WCBD open from 1989, right before Hurricane Hugo:
And about 38 minutes of footage from the three local Charleston stations and national broadcasts of the day before Hugo. Includes when WCIV and WCSC were forced to sign off locally because of the storm.
KGO open from 1998:
KNXV open from 1998:
Beginning of Bulls-Rockets game (plus SunAmerica Sports Desk) from 1998
