Didn't see a thread for Allen Media group, so here we go!

And to start things off, Bob Prather (who left Gray to start Heartland Media) and Andy Fisher, are both leaving AMG.

Could any of this be related to Allen's involvement in the Diamond Sports dumpster fire?

And Princell Hair has been named President of Allen Media...

  2. What's happened in Peoria (WEEK) and Duluth/Superior (KBJR) appears to be taking place in Fort Wayne. WPTA-21.2 (Fort Wayne's NBC) is now simulcasting the morning news from WPTA-21.1. On top of that, the 21.1 branding has reverted from "ABC 21" to "21 Alive".

As of now, the 5pm, 6pm, and 11pm newscasts are still in place on 21.2 with the regular weeknight anchors.

  3. Terre Haute, Indiana:

WTWO picks up Tamron Hall at 3pm (coming to the market for the first time). Kelly Clarkson, previously at 3pm, moves up to 4pm. Not sure where the daytime run of Jeopardy! will go (it was at 4:30pm, following the cancelled Daily Mail TV).

WTHI-10.1 moves the primary run of You Bet Your Life from 10.2 to the 3pm slot, followed by Pictionary at 3:30pm. Jennifer Hudson will air at 4pm.

WTHI-10.2 picks up Sherri Shepherd at 2pm. A single run of American Housewife will air at 5:30pm.

WTHI-10.3 is pretty much the standard CW+ schedule (with additions like We The People). Nick Cannon reruns will likely get replaced by Karamo.

WAWV picks up iCrime with Elizabeth Vargas at 1:05am (replacing a run of Two and a Half Men, which will continue to air at 1:35am).

No sign of "The Neighborhood" or "Ring Nation".

I've reached out to Vimeo with no response - I've not received any notices (and I checked my email history going back years).   The account is just gone...

To me, it's one thing if this was something that could be monetized, but these are historic newscasts - which I pretty much guarantee most of the stations no longer have in their archives.  It's like blocking history from folks.  I could understand if the content were able to be viewed elsewhere (e.g., game shows, cartoons, etc.), but local news is local history that you probably can't get anywhere else.

I challenge you to find a (for example) KCBD newscast from February 1994 in any library or even at KCBD itself...

I'm pissed as I was given no warning, nor remedy.

I guess I need to find a library or something to donate them to, so that they're available for research in the future.  I have thousands recorded, and now do I keep cataloging them or just give up?

    Jim

And do I keep recording them into the future???

Heck - most of the copyright holders of the original content aren't even in existence anymore...

I've been backing up through archive.org. It seems to be the only real alternative to YouTube these days.

I'm seeing more and more people upload rare stuff to Archive.

What amount money are these companies losing over newscasts that aired once? Even worse since Sloan said the one strike was over a commercial.

I'm sure he could reupload all his videos to the Internet Archive as I'm sure he' still has everything he's ever uploaded.

I'm not sure if NewsActive3 is on other video sites. Maybe he should start looking elsewhere.

    Already started:
