  1. A few Charlotte anchors are headed to Florida. Andrew Doud (WSOC Morning Reporter) is headed to WFTS, and Israel Balderas (WCCB, I guess we can end the rumors of him to WJZY) to WPEC. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/11/08/4447649/wfae-host-gets-assist-from-invisible.html (Look at bottom for Media Movers)
  2. It's decent. It sure as hell beats any of the shit that Sinclair or Nexstar have.
  3. WCCB will be starting 6pm newscasts on the weekend starting in November according to this Charlotte Observer article (way at the bottom in the Media Movers section) http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/10/11/4378992/new-rising-host-started-in-tv.html#.UlhzN2TwLxY
  4. Pretty sure the WWBT one is Steve Stone, also the new v/o KLAS has gotten is a major downgrade from Max McGill.
  5. WENY has a partnership with the Elmira daily newspaper the Star-Gazette, which was the first newspaper in the Gannett empire, so maybe it has somethig to do with that. They have also adopted a new graphics package that sister stations WSEE/WICU use (which is a huge step up from what they were using before) and a new logo (also a huge step up from the previous look). Overall, a pretty good look for a mid 170's market and definently leaps and bounds ahead of what market leader WETM (Nexstar) uses (they haven't had a graphics update minus their weather gfx in like ten years, but with new ownership (previously they were Newport) maybe they will get one of the Nexstar standardized packs.
  6. Just looked at her twitter and it appears that she will be the morning anchor at KMGH https://twitter.com/KelliePatterson
  7. Maybe, but she probably has a no-compete clause in her contract.
  8. If this were to go through, Binghamton would be a mess too, as they would have ABC, NBC and CBS. The only non-Nexstar station would be FOX.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIh5ZJQjdu8 WSOC 5pm Open from 1993, lots more from that newscast on this channel too.
