I think both posters above are questioning your assertion that KSDK is last in the ratings, not whether they were streaming.

 

Even then, KSDK stills gets beat by KMOV and KTVI a lot of the time.

I went to KSDK's web site during the riots and they weren't streaming, and didn't have coverage.

 

I am surprised that KSDK has yet to stream their newscast yet in light of these two police officers shot in Ferguson.

 

KSDK barely streamed the original overnight riots, so I understand why they're last in ratings.

Yep. I guess after cross-town competitor WBBH unveiled their Look F lookalike package, WINK decided they needed something else.

WATN was doing it as recently as their relaunch. I believe WROC (I might be mistaken) does as well.

 

I'm not sure if that's still the case, but I'm sure there are users in those markets that can correct me.

So i was watching the news tonight and KIII debuted a "This is Home" promo. It looks like they are already moving forward in the changes with Gannett. Still waiting on the graphics change.

 

Yeah, I'll watch for it on KXVA.

How do y'all know they won't just attach the ABC logo to the 3 rather than separate them like depicted above? It would look better attached.

Yes that is the logo i am talking about and i agree it will look good with gannett. Although, i wonder how it will look if they decide on adding the ABC logo with it. Which i heard might happen.

 

I've come up with some concepts that show how the KIII logo could be used on the Gannett graphics.

Some interesting news:

KATU has started using Sinclair's Glass music package, but are still using their Giant Octopus graphics.

Take this how you will, but Sinclair may be generous to some of their stations.

I always hated the rundown and felt it was worthless to viewers. They should have kept the ticker.

Well, Gannett's designs are dreadfully basic, so I can see how it could confuse me.

It just has the blue 'news' bar at the bottom, and that made me think.

KING started making their own promos using Gannett-esque stuff before the standardization came.

KXVA posted a promo on their facebook page for a sweeps story, and it has the hallmarks of Gannett.

Pay attention to the lower third.

A new crime-mystery related digi-net entitled, the "Justice Network", will be launching in January on the Gannett stations.

 

They have a promo on their website, and in it there's something that catches my eye. Does this lower third look familiar to y'all?

They also have a horrid announcer who tries too hard to be Scott Chapin and actually that VO is part of the reason why I try not to watch KSAT.

 

Ouch, that IS Scott Chapin. He's getting worse with age.

Haven't heard it at any other stations, so it may be a custom cut.

I can kind of put "The Spirit of Texas" to that initial signature, though. Gari may have done what it did the the Sinclair signature in Daily News.
