I dont this this was ever commented on... But Stacey Delicate had a baby back in August. And, from the looks of her report tonight, Lidia Curanaj will be out on maternity leave pretty soon as well!

(What I would LOVE to see would be a flashback to 2007 and see Christina Park on GDWU - she and Antwan can travel there together for that matter, thats if she wasn't given a night position if Dari is on her way out too) This is what my realistic, what I could see happening if Juliet and Dari could be on their way out. I'm also keeping in mind how fill-in's currently work. I think they want Christina to take over for Ernie when he retires because she seems to be Ernie's #1 fill in. It's funny, she is also in for Steve more than anyone else. But, it seems like Alison and Jenn are frequently in for Dari. GDWU: Teresa Priolo & Antwan Lewis GDNY: Same 5PM: Steve Lacy & Jennifer Lahmers 6PM: Christina Park 10PM: Steve Lacy & Christina Park

Thoughts on this.... Anna Gilligan (entertainment reporter for GDNY) Russ Salzberg (sports anchor evenings) Haven't been replaced. I know that Russ just left on Friday, but having the anchors do sports/entertainment seems a bit weird. I would assume they would at least have fillins. Is this where they are headed or do you think these players will eventually be replaced. There was the new weekend girl for sports... I almost wonder if Ryan Asselta is gone too. He has been off the last 2 weeks and this new girl is the new weekend sports girl...

So what happens? Duke to nights or stays in the AM, correct me if I am wrong, but in the sports world, the night slot is more desirable? Whether its taking over the night, or the morning... Who gets the spot? Ryan Asselta or Tina Cervasio? Personally, I'd rather see Tina.

Just throwing another two thoughts out there.... 1) Maybe she wants a "night" job, she and Lacy probably barely see each other working their current schedules 2) Maybe Fox 5 has a policy against relatives/spouses working in the same News Division

I totally agree, I think changes are being planned/tested. I could definitely see Antwan moving back to Good Day Wake Up, it seems as though everyone there loves him (however, it also seems like everyone loves Ben as well) All I know is if there are changes, Christina better have in increased role. Based on time, merit, performance, longevity.... she deserves it!!! (obviously I am a huge supporter) especially over Alison. What I would love (minus Alison - I'd rather see Priolo there) to see happen, and I honestly could see it happening... I thought the same exact thing... I must add I did really enjoy Christina and Ben... Christina is always so great with everyone she is with, she needs a Mon-Fri spot she is just too good! I also must add, I wonder what brought on these weird pairings.... Steve Lacy's first "subbing" at night came the week that Dave Price was duped, Greg returned to GDNY and Lacy moved to nights.... They always make me think when they try out these weird pairings, when there would be less weird ones (like keeping Ben/Juliet and using Christina and Kerry or Alison).... Makes me think what may happen. Also, why is it that Antwan will never sub on Weekday nights?

I know you are a bit of an expert of sorts... so here goes my question for you... Do you really think so? I mean, I didn't realize this on Friday when I posted, Christina Park was off this weekend (so she was probably off Friday as well)... and it appears as though her set days off are always Monday and Tuesday (as she can't anchor M-F and her regular weekend. So is it that Alison is really taking over as the primary fill in, do you think? I really hope not.... Christina is much better and she deserves it based on time put it (not to mention talent)

I understand that yes she was one of the main anchors there.... but for the NY Market, when they have quality primary fill ins I have no clue what would be going through the minds of the higher ups over there. My biggest point is that they have Christina Park who has been the primary fill in anchor for years now... I just hope this Morris girl isn't going to take the next spot that come up over Christina Park... because she should be the primary fill in and next in line.

I agree it is a bit awkward, but they do definitely make it work. I didn't realize Anna Gilligan had one until you said it and I went back and watch it! However, what I find the most awkward is how they allow Alison Morris to fill in... I just do not get it. I had to turn the news off last night.

I hope that Fox 5 gets these fill in anchors right, with so much talent (Priolo, Park, even Drew and Crowley) Alison Morris should not be allowed to sit at the anchor desk. Last week with Ben Simmoneau, and last night with Steve Lacy, she is just unwatchable, more that any other anchor I have seen on WNYW. I'd rather Dari!

What I would love to see happen to GDWU that would probably never happen is this... Antwan has proven how great he is on GDWU... And I think Christina was fantastic when she was on GDWU years ago with Reid Lamberty.... And, they have shown they are amazing together... It should be a no-brainer, Christina and Antwan for GDWU! I have to say, Fox 5 is so lucky that they, in my opinion have 2 fantastic perspectives to take on major anchor roles in the years to come if any leads are to leave - Teresa Priolo and Christina Park... I think those two are just too great to be a reporter/fill in anchor and weekend anchor.

I actually happen to like Ben, a lot, so maybe I am biased. I will however say, he is not someone who does well with a not so great co-anchor. He is fantastic IMO with Juliet and with Teresa Priolo, who are both fantastic. I cannot watch the pairing of him and Kerry Drew... But Kerry is the real issue, dry as a bone with a forced fake personality there. And, watching Friday was rough, I am not a huge fan of Alison Morris, something about her doesn't work with me

It looks like Joel Waldman is gone from Fox 5. Such a shame, I thought he was their strongest male reporter. Wish him the best. We finally know what happens when Ernie takes off! Christina fills in with the same format (she tweeted that she's in all week) So far, I think she's a fantastic fit for this format!!! They really need to move this girl to be on every night, she is too good for just the weekend!

I agree. I think Teresa and Steve are great together. It was interesting that they put Teresa at 5 & 10…. I know Kerry Drew worked GDNY reporting and then I am pretty sure at least one of the nights I saw Sharon reporting… It makes me wonder why all of a sudden now Teresa is filling in at 5 & 10…. I think changes may be a coming…... Especially think back a year….. Steve was "subbing" for a few nights on the 5 & 10 before DP was dropped and Greg was moved back…. IF they are making changed my suggestions…. 1) KEEP Rosanna, Greg, Mike and Ines 2) More Christina Park and Teresa Priolo 3) Less Dari Alexander and Juliet Huddy

I think Fox 5 is very smart, if they are doing what I think they are doing. I think they have learned (probably from the Greg/Dave/Ernie disaster) that they need to prepare changes. I see the two main preparations they are making being Christina (when not on maternity leave) and Audrey... I **think** (is the key word) that in the next few years we will be seeing much more of these two... On another note, has anyone else noticed that since Antwan has been moved to weekends, he is barely on. I'm wondering how much longer he will be with WNYW considering how little he is one... Its also interesting wondering why he isn't the fill in for any of the male anchors.....

I've been looking for this for a while.... Am I the only one who really misses this GDNY Intro?

Best thing to happen at Fox 5 This year, for all shows.... All we need is Rosanna, Greg, Mike and Ines in the morning! Hope this team is in place for many years to come! All that needs to happen now is for Christina Park to replace Dari!
