Wow. From the Big Apple to the Big "D".
Interesting move here but why would she leave 'PIX for 'TVT?She left WPIX-TV several months ago, so I don't think Dallas was specifically on her mind at the time. She probably just needed a break, or maybe didn't get a fair contract offer from Nexstar.

I wonder what went down at KTNV in Las Vegas. Both the GM and the ND are out.

I'll bet they're still paying Hagerstown salaries, though.

This is from a few days ago. You get quite the sendoff in Honolulu. I assume this anchor is heading into public relations.

Anecdotal, but it always seems like the floodgates open at a station when a couple of people leave. No one wants to be left to do the work of five or six people.

Greta Van Susteren is leaving Gray Television and joining NewsMax. I know NewsNation wanted her too for The Hill's political show.

Unsurprisingly, The Hill is coming to NewsNation.

Given how much news stations do now, it would be a lot easier on the schedule to open the door to vacations at almost any time of year, so that you don't end up with too many people cramming vacations into the same weeks.
In exchange, I would black out important events that you know are coming. For everyone, that might be high-viewership periods like the time around the Super Bowl or the Academy Awards. For us, that might be the week of the Big 12 basketball tournament, or in 2023, the NFL draft, or the week of an election.

I've noticed stations being more lenient in May when it comes to out-of-town graduations.

WETM in Elmira fired its anchor (who is also the ND), who is seen on video from what appears to be a private vigilante group with no law enforcement training. There is no criminal case either.

The rumor is more layoffs are coming at regular CNN, could be announced next week.

Some stations might call them associate producers or assistant producers, but, yeah, you won't find much writing help outside the top ten markets. A lot of the extra jobs were dumped on producers over the years as TV groups cut the headcounts.
