    Could KAIT put CBS on 8.3? If Tribune wants to protect the area, they might want to put up a satellite station in Jonesboro...although out-of-market satellites are quite rare, and the presence of the satellite would split ad dollars.

    Last place stations are most likely to do things like that. They are often seen as a quick opportunity to jump into a big market...

    Can Media General run a cleaner slate than Scripps though? I agree though WTVF is in a terrible position - it is regionally isolated from most of Scripps' portfolio AND a CBS affiliate for a company that has never had good relations with that network. Nashville is weird with so many "black sheep" stations with their owners due to all these acquisitions.

    Speaking of Hearst, has any work been done at WJCL yet? I'm guessing it gets a new logo as well.

    Regarding West Palm Beach, hasn't WPBF been catching up to WPTV?

    The new WWL logo looks like a blast from the past - resembles heavily their 1988 logo.

    That sounds quite silly in my mind, since that is a HUGE market downgrade for the same job...

    I think the full logo (bottom left) is most likely to proceed. It also matches the Gannett websites as well (easy to shape it to the smaller header when scrolling down) and the infamous words "A Gannett Company" can fit directly underneath as well.

    I guess those stations weren't valuable enough to get another buyer to scoop them up, since the outside date had passed.

    Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I noticed KALB (and its DT2) have new logos, and I believe new graphics as well. All traces of the Media General legacy are gone now.

    I wonder what ex-London station(s) will be first to get the Gannett on-air and web graphics. I would think it will be sooner rather than later...

    I would think the ex-London stations should see changes starting in October if they get all the ex-Belo stations finished by then (which appears likely).

    It makes me think...Las Vegas may not be done with changes. We generally agreed KLAS will be for sale soon, and there have been aborted sales of that station. Is Sinclair going to try to add a fourth station in Vegas? Or does someone else try to get it?

    How should the "little guys" (i.e. smaller companies) be treated? Since they will garner far fewer posts and less frequently but may get some attention - as long as they don't sell.

    I believe KSDK had called in sister stations to assist as well; I know they called in Faith Abubey from WFMY at least. Not sure if KPLR/KTVI has called up from other Tribune stations, although WGN isn't too far away.

    Outside the US I notice degreed meteorologists are rare in local news...

    KREM is the only ex-Belo station that has neither the new graphics nor the new website, correct? Once those are all done, I would expect the ex-London stations to get the changes this fall.

    Notice that the KGW site doesn't directly make mention of Gannett ownership (i.e. no words say "A Gannett Company"), I guess the ownership issue is playing a role in the site designs.

    Lack of news indeed, and yes I consider them jokes too. WFIE dominates the market anyway...

    There was no way they would get away with owning 3 out of 4 stations in the market. But WEVV is a joke station right now and likely will continue to be. It would be difficult to shut down since how do they put 5 stations onto a single signal?

    Affiliation changes perhaps? Although I am not sure when the existing affiliations with others expire.
