WCBS sure isn't acting like that. Perhaps viewer feedback was not as positive as they hoped in his test broadcasts. One would think that with many months since DuBois move was announced, they would have a plan that seamlessly puts in place the new team.
I don’t think he was hired as Maurice’s replacement. He was likely hired as general assignment reporter/fill-in anchor. If he was hired as Maurice’s replacement he already would’ve been sitting next to Kristine, plus none of his socials or CBS bio reflect that.

Allen Devlin is joining WCBS as an anchor and reporter. He was most recently an anchor at WANF (Atlanta News First).
It will be interesting to see which newscast(s) he anchors. I speculate that he could take Maurice’s spot at 5:00pm when Maurice moves to The CBS Evening News after the election.
If Maurice is staying at WCBS and co-anchoring CBS evening news I’d imagine he’d drop the 6 pm shows and continue to co-anchor the 5 & 11 pm shows, with Allen taking over the 6 pm show.

Interesting. So I’ll assume anyway it’ll be Airinee and him at 4 and 5 then Shirley and Kori at 6 and 10?
That’s my guess as well. Hopefully he lasts longer than he did at WFOR.

Did anyone watch the streaming to see if they ran it? I didn't see any mention of it when they signed off just before 7am. They did start at 4:30, but made no mention of the later start time. And amusingly, WABC started their news at 4am on Tuesday because of the weather.
I wasn’t able to catch it. Surprised they didn’t add “Today in New York @7am continues on our streaming platforms” after the “That’s what’s happening Today in New York” close.

When that day comes, a Joe & Sandra team would fit perfectly on the weekday. But what about Sade?
Noon David & Liz
4 David & Sade
5 Liz & Sade (dual female like when Diana was there)
6/11 Joe & Sandra
They absolutely will not pull Sade from the 11 pm unless she wants to stop doing the 11 pm, and I don’t see that happening for several years.

The press release for the 10 am show said Dani was gonna be part of the 10 am show? Is this not the case anymore? Or she gonna have the bizarre schedule of doing weekend mornings and the 10 am 3 days a week?
-
The 10am newscast will be co-anchored by Alyana Gomez, Nydia Han & Alicia Vittarelli. Karen Rogers will do weather forecasts.

So I guess it varies by station.
For years all 3 aired an hour long 5 pm show, then national news at 6 and then 30 minutes of local 630-7. KING is the only one to retain that schedule.

Nah, I think the primary "West Coast edition" feed of the national shows is still at 5:30pm PT. For a long time, only the LA market aired the national shows in the East Coast-style 6:30pm timeslot, but it's kindof all over the place now. However, if you look around markets out West, the hour-long 6:00pm show (with national news at 5:30) is still pretty commonplace.

So we now know who will sit next to Colleen at 5pm, but do we have any word on who sits next to her at 11 pm and who’s going to sit next to Carolyn at 6 pm?

So it’ll be Tony & Jumi in AM, Leon & Eun at 4&6, and Jim & Shawn at 5&11? Surprised they don’t just rotate anchors for the 11am and keep Erika on weekends.
Jummy & Melissa Mollett 4-5a
Jummy & Tony 5-7a
Erika 11a
Eun & Leon 4p
Shawn & Leon 5p
Eun & Jim 6p
Shawn & Jim 11p

People are assuming it will be Pedro based on him doing Friday mornings, while Mike does Friday evenings, however Pedro wasn’t part of the new promo (that has Mike edited out) so either they are still looking for who will replace Mike on weekday mornings, or who will replace Pedro on weekend mornings (if Pedro moves to weekday mornings) before making an official announcement.
