  1. People are assuming it will be Pedro based on him doing Friday mornings, while Mike does Friday evenings, however Pedro wasn’t part of the new promo (that has Mike edited out) so either they are still looking for who will replace Mike on weekday mornings, or who will replace Pedro on weekend mornings (if Pedro moves to weekday mornings) before making an official announcement.
  2. In what may be the shortest main anchor stint, Chris Nguyen who joined KOMO in Seattle left the station after less then 3 months. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2025/2/18/that-did-last-long
  3. I don’t think he was hired as Maurice’s replacement. He was likely hired as general assignment reporter/fill-in anchor. If he was hired as Maurice’s replacement he already would’ve been sitting next to Kristine, plus none of his socials or CBS bio reflect that.
  4. Yup just watched him make his announcement. Last newscast is December 12th
  5. If Maurice is staying at WCBS and co-anchoring CBS evening news I’d imagine he’d drop the 6 pm shows and continue to co-anchor the 5 & 11 pm shows, with Allen taking over the 6 pm show.
  6. That’s my guess as well. Hopefully he lasts longer than he did at WFOR.
  7. Longtime reporter Sandy Kenyon leaving WABC to become a consultant for the ABC owned stations group: https://www.adweek.com/tvspy/longtime-wabc-reporter-sandy-kenyon-moving-to-larger-role-for-abc-owned-stations-group/
  8. I wasn’t able to catch it. Surprised they didn’t add “Today in New York @7am continues on our streaming platforms” after the “That’s what’s happening Today in New York” close.
  9. TINY is on at 4 am this morning.
  10. Same. Grew up watching them, as well as Jean, Dennis, Jeff & Lori over on KING and Steve, Susan, Harry & Tony over on KIRO.
  11. They absolutely will not pull Sade from the 11 pm unless she wants to stop doing the 11 pm, and I don’t see that happening for several years.
  12. I know this a pipe dream, but I would love to see Kaity anchoring weekdays again.
  13. Longtime WCMH anchor Mike Jackson passed away on Friday: https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-news/columbus/nbc4-announces-passing-of-longtime-anchor-mike-jackson-at-age-66/
  14. The press release for the 10 am show said Dani was gonna be part of the 10 am show? Is this not the case anymore? Or she gonna have the bizarre schedule of doing weekend mornings and the 10 am 3 days a week?
  15. The 10am newscast will be co-anchored by Alyana Gomez, Nydia Han & Alicia Vittarelli. Karen Rogers will do weather forecasts. https://tvnewscheck.com/programming/article/abc-owned-television-stations-announce-10-a-m-newscasts-for-wabc-wpvi-wtvd/
  16. 17. For years all 3 aired an hour long 5 pm show, then national news at 6 and then 30 minutes of local 630-7. KING is the only one to retain that schedule.
  18. Seattle ABC affiliate KOMO - local news 3:30-4p, 4p-5p, 5p-530p WNT 530p-6p local news 6p-7p NBC affiliate KING - local news 4p-6p nightly news 6p-630p local news 630p-730p CBS affiliate KIRO local news 4p-630p CBS evening news 630p-7p local news 7p-730p
  19. For those wondering Fred made his official debut behind the anchor desk tonight.
  20. Fred will co-anchor at 6, 7 & 11 pm. No word on who will co-anchor at 5 pm.
  21. Keith Jones returns to NBC 10 News Today on Monday https://www.instagram.com/reel/CuVCdcnp0xB/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
