  1. Who would you all say had the best and worst conversation coverage of the convention?
  2. Interesting, in what ways would you say WFLD has improved? The nine o'clock and four o'clock teams are seem decent.
  3. I tend to view veterans as someone who has been at the station and/or market for at least 10 years. Yes Dorothy Tucker would be a veteran, as for the others you mentioned they are well on there way. Oh and Dane Palcko is also a WFLD veteran.
  4. The only two veterans you have there are Dave & Dana. At WFLD you have Lou,Joanie, and Roseanne as your veteran reporters.
  5. Wasn't WBBM having ratings issues before Lyons took over? And they have over the years made some bad decisions, such as firing Rob Johnson.
  6. Good evening, how come live vans/trucks have phones? What are they typically used for? Thanks.
  7. At one point she anchored the 4:30-7:00 AM block, and was in the field the 7:00-10:00 am block? Do I have that right?
  8. Is it just me or is Roseanne doing mostly feature stories?
  9. Anyone noticed that WFLD has taken the flags off the mics?
  10. I noticed that the WBBM reporters that were covering the protests had little radios/walkie talkies on them. Why was this?
  11. Looks like WMAQ,WLS, and WFLD have there anchor teams at the UC, with another back in the studio
  12. How would this apply to stations that are in the host City?
  13. I saw a marked WGN TV can with that permit on the windshield. Now why would a marked news vehicle need one?
  14. I'm sure the expenses the Chicago stations incurred for the RNC in Milwaukee weren't as big as it's just up the road. Likewise I'm sure the expenses incurred by the Milwaukee TV stations won't be as big if they send people to the DNC in Chicago. Again it's just down the road.
  15. Well folks on Monday the 2024 DNC at the United Center kicks off. Feel free to post how stations are covering it through the duration in the replays. Fingers crossed that all hell doesn't break lose
  16. Good Morning, I'm not sure if you've noticed this but it seems like WFLD and WBBM hold on to no one. While WGN,WLS, and to a lesser extent WMAQ do a better job at holding onto there talent. Would you all say this is true? If so what are some of the reasons why WFLD and WBBM don't hold onto there people? Thanks.
  17. And Marybelle Gonzalez is out
  18. Good morning, I have noticed that sometimes you see regular vehicles with permits in the windshield that say, "Chicago TV news Parking Permit," what purpose does it serve? Thanks.
  19. Per Dave Savini's Facebook page, he will be Anchoring Saturday's starting this fall.
  20. Tommorow is her last day
  21. So NBC and the BBC would send there own crews?
  22. Good evening, For the Olympics, does the ICO provide camera and crews for the events and the networks broadcasting just feed off of them? Thanks.
  23. When it comes to so called one man banding, I would be correct to assume that union rules/contracts play a role in how often if ever it's used?
  24. His wife Jessica is a reporter at ABC7
  25. An example would be during Sandy when some of the ABC O&Os helped out WABC and WPVI.
