My first post! Just wanted to bring this up:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l5C5QL3wl4
I don't know if it counts as a knockoff or not. But it might be, because these are the only two stations I've seen with this look. If there are more, I'd like to know.
I think it's legit. Looks real.

Anyone know what's up with this? Few days ago, was driving on the freeway and spotted a older series KGTV van, still sporting the older graphics and paint scheme. No mast or any equipment on the roof, and it looked like it hadn't had a wash in a long time. No chance to take a photo, but it was the exact same one (or similar) to this photo taken in 2015. I really doubt it's owned by KGTV still, although with them you never know. And if it was privately owned, wouldn't KGTV take off all branding (as well as the microwave dishes and equipment) before selling it?

Well if it was sold, knowing how cheap Scripps is, this is advertising to them for free.

I think it's time to change the Scripps LIVE bug to a more traditional location don't you? Change occurred yesterday or today. Not bad.. flexibility is cool...

Agreed, also nice dining set in the far right.

I have been seeing Local 4 creep into WCMH's promos more and more...
"Local people. Local 4 you. NBC 4."
Why not say Local NBC 4?

Looks like one of the logos for a television network in the UK... but hey it's flat and modern!
WEWS rebrand/logo discussion moved here: https://forums.tvnewstalk.net/index.php?threads/wews-rebrands-with-new-logo.15697 -
New WRIC logo and maybe new graphics?

For their election coverage? That's odd...
Yeah, so it's something like cyan/blue/red/orange on the rundown.
-
Yeah, WVEC is as well. The color on the rundown also shows both red and blue.
WGRZ seems to use 4 colours on the rundown including the traffic cyan and tech orange.
-
While randomly live streaming WUSA tonight, I noticed they were using a red and blue scheme on the L3s for election stories. Any other stations doing this?
WGRZ used this as well.

Holy crap....I found a Nexstar station that STREAMS their newscasts!
And it's their original set of stations, using the Livestream platform (using the WBRE feed since it's the main station of WBRE/WYOU).
Here's hoping they don't mess up what Media General has already done with theirs.
I haven't seen it a month ago, so this is probably quite recent
UPDATE: KFDX also livestreams
UPDATE 2: WATN and KOLR also livestreams

News with 19 times the action?

Scripps "Don't Waste Your Money" franchise received its own money colored graphics earlier this year but it hasn't been shared here yet so...

Additionally WXYZ has standardized on Facebook pages underneath their talent names... Previously it was a mix of email, Facebook and Twitter with no rhyme or reason...
Any word how much money they spent on this?

In a stunning turn, the clouds parted and my antenna was able to pick up CBS 2 in amazing quality. As I said before, I don't like the edited theme cut in the opens (the rejoins sound okay), but the skyline imagery looks fantastic. Notice the old lower third that pops up in the morning video. (Also posted the O&O changes thread.)
Morning Update/Rejoin:
5pm Open & Rejoin:
6pm Open:
10pm Open:
There was a video of KCAL with new graphics and an older lower third in use, then it was covered with the newer lower third...

Or what KXVO did about 10 years ago.
I think KZTV isn't that great either.

Apparently, WFNA CW55 has started a FOURTH 9pm newscast...by way of WKRG. The difference is that it is Pensacola-centric and has resurrected the old WNCN/WSPA/WJAR/WSLS graphics package. Could it be the end of the current look on WKRG?
Ill have to admit, I was VERY pre-occupied the week the news came out, but WSVNFan was on top of it with his blog...
https://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/2016/06/16/wfna-air-first-ever-local-news-produced-wkrg/
The package looks slightly different in places such as the text in the second line and the text in the red area, the transition for Top 9 At 9 looks a little tweaked as well.
Update: it looks like they do not have the one line lower third that WJAR did, instead leaving the second line blank like WSPA did.

Same graphics as WFXR/KMID

New Promo from WCBS:

I like it, I think it was excellent and well produced, What do you guys think?
The logo still made me think this was KCBS

WABC has a messed-up mic flag that's almost falling apart and they still use that.
I'm sure, had this happen, a little Krazy Glue will fix things.
It looks like fun!
-
Of course. But if FTVLive is wrong about this issue, it'll make them look more like the TV industry's equivalent to TMZ (as if it doesn't look like that enough sometimes, at least to me).
They messed up on their story regarding WDJT parking in a disabled spot.

i should have said the primary branding was storm patrol 4 and then they switched between that and POWER OF 4
Patrol 4 with breaking news that a driver has been ticketed for...

Cox continues to spend money to be competitive in Jacksonville. They now have "Sky Action News Jax" the market's only chopper.

Oh god it sounds awful

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if WFAA or even any of TEGNA's three flagships are next
Didn't WXIA already have one?

KTNV in Las Vegas is now branding it's weather forecasts as... First Alert Weather! Shocking, I know. At least the opening graphic looks decent.
The logo looks nothing like thw WXYZ version...
-
Well it could be an elaborate April Fools ruse.
I'd kLAF.

WSPA does, and so does WFLA.
