And a WHBF clone and a WVLA clone... basically a Nexstar clone.
That could also mean newscasts for it sister station KPEJ 24, since there is none on that station.
And KMID finally drops its longtime BIG 2 moniker.
I wouldn't say it's a WHBF clone because of that ugly desk, but it is a WVLA clone.

That's one beautiful new set for a new studio. What KMID needs to do is add more newscasts besides the Morning, 5 & 10PM.

Wow, this truely is a WFXR clone now...

The Nexstar duo in Midland/Odessa got a makeover - and an HD upgrade!
A new set, control room, graphics (KMID - the new WFRV package), and name.
KMID is now Local 2 News (With a very KJRH-esque logo)
With this upgrade, KMID jumps to the best looking (cosmetics-wise) in the market. Production of their news still has a long way to go.
KPEJ's facebook reports that FOX 24 will get news in early 2016.
WFXR Graphics...

She anchored last newscast tonight at 6.
Just going to see how the things go there.

Joanna Pasceri is out at WKBW. http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/buffalo-anchor-leaving-station-after-22-years/159946
Well then, I'll have to watch tonight's 11 PM Newscast...
-
Yea him.
I get him mixed up with the KLAS area 51 anchor.....George Knapp.
Could've been "Gary Knapp", did you check?
Edit: Did you CHEK?

I have reason to believe WFTS has switched over to VizRT based on a tip I received and some video evidence I posted below. It looks like this happened a couple weeks ago.
Look closely at the lower thirds in this video:
And the "before":
Nothing too exciting. It helps to see the videos on YouTube so they're bigger and you can make out more detail.
Sharper text, darker orange, slower social box... Looks smoother overall.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but...
Take a look at this:

That sounds like VTS's "The Team to Watch" in the teaser. Maybe that's what the WSOC 1986 theme actually is?
The open looks a lot like WBTV`s new opens

As a former Connecticut resident, I am really happy about this. Hopefully this will push WVIT to go back to NBC 30.
Former WIVB sports director Chris Vesey is the new morning anchor at WFMJ. Vesey is a Y-town native.
The would be Steve Vesey.
-
And the MCTYW theme is still alive in Buffalo.
Tonight, it was the open and then someone saying "7 Super Doppler Aaron Mentkowski"
-
And the MCTYW theme is still alive in Buffalo.
They tried to kill it off, I don't hear much of it anymore.

Speaking of WKBW TV, Keith Radford was Inducted in Buffalo Broadcasters Hall Of Fame in Sept. Well deserved for Keith one of the best in Buffalo TV along with Irv Weinstein, Tom Jolls, and Rick Azar.
Here is the link via WKBW's Youtube page also listen at the 4:21 mark "it still lives on".
They killed the headline teaser before the opens, and they still broadcast in 720p which is really noticable.
-
Yeah, it's the special sports OTS. KSHB has been using it for a couple years now so WXYZ probably has been as well. Sports has special full screen graphics as well.
It's something WKBW has, and often times this week the regular OTS would shift down a little and break.
-
So Belo and Sinclair had a baby and this is what you get?
I see a little Scripps with the glass frames too... it's like they were put in a blender

I was thinking Raycom when I first saw it. Their weather graphics are a mashup of the two IMO.
I was thinking Belo added

Damn, http://www.newenglandone.com/news/across-america/item/1106-chris-may-out-at-cbs-3-philly.htmlI saw on Facebook tonight that Chris May anchored his last newscast on CBS3. What is going on there at the station? They stopped Talk Philly, they took off the 7-9am broadcast on The CW, and now Chris May is gone.
-
And, At 5 they were talking about "Apple's new tech toy" and put a damn nexus 7.
-
Distracting though, But I like it.WXYZ does as well. I like the effect. WLS is very conservative with its presentation though. Give it 20 years maybe.
And yeah, WLS goes all out traditional with Stimulus and the nearly 10 year old graphics.
-
Newschannel 8 in Washington does.Do they ever use their OTS boxes that way anyway with video?
-
Having a full blown video is distracting... But awesome
-
I can't stand either one but CBS This Morning. And I actually liked the old graphics better. It's too shiny
-
My vote's on WNCN.
-
That logo form KVRR though... so not KDVR
-
WBBH's looks like crap.
