1. As Janeen Gordon returns to air at WMC on Monday, Lauren Squires is moving back to days for her last month at the station: https://laurenmsquires.wordpress.com/2016/02/02/a-leap-of-faith-leaving-tv-news/ Additionally, a new reporter, Tiffany Neely, was on air last night. It appears she most recently worked at WBBJ, also in west TN.
2. I wonder if he's planned this all along. I hate to suggest that he was lying in his original announcement from when he left TV, but this seems suspiciously like it could be the termination of a non-compete clause.
3. I've noticed WMC has been notoriously bad for updating their employee page for that. It still says Kontji Anthony is a reporter and weekend morning anchor! In other news, Ari Alexander has left the station as well (and he's still listed too!)...
4. Wow! That was sudden. Last I heard when Felicia Bolton was filling in for him, he was simply having some "time off." Perhaps another reporter will be promoted to weekend morning anchor, necessitating the hire of a new reporter...
5. Amy Speropoulos has jumped from morning reporter at WMC to "Local Memphis Live" host at WATN. This marks a return to anchoring for her and her third Memphis news station job. Edit - looks like "Local Memphis Live" may be getting a new host(s?) because it's getting a new name, too:
6. Unusual split anchoring arrangement tonight... the voiceover said Craig Melvin was reporting tonight, but about half of the broadcast was Thomas Roberts live in Oregon tossing to other reporters for the college shooting coverage.
