  1. KLAS and WATN/WLMT/WJKT updated to new websites; no URL changes.
  2. WSYRTV.com, WMBD.com and WMBB.com point to their respective websites. Those would be easy fixes.
  3. Give it time. All Nexstar stations will have the new Lakana site. As mentioned previously, rollouts are being phased.
  4. I could see this being copied for KGET. Just swap out the CBS eye for the NBC peacock. Nice improvement though.
  5. I fail to see the improvement. Even with the MG acquisition, Nexstar is getting cheaper and cheesier. The micromanagement from Irving sticks out like a sore thumb on the Nexstar station in my neck of the woods.
  6. Possibly test beds for a Nexstar-wide CMS refresh? At least Lakana isn't going bye-bye.
  7. I thought Nexstar was keeping the former LIN CMS platform for the former MG stations, as they liked the platform. As for their Lakana ownership, the legacy stations are still using the web CMS, but have switched their mobile apps to Newscycle/DoApp (for all stations). I'm beginning to wonder if Lakana is in for a sea change or on the outs in the near future.
  8. WHTM's news director is also out according to FTVLive: https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2017/7/14/another-nexstar-news-director-is-out
  9. A total rip-off of the old Journal graphics, plus the 9-pack behind the anchor desk composed of thick-bezeled NEC Monitors is long in the tooth.
  10. Anchor Paul Joncich is leaving KLAS/Las Vegas; his last day is tomorrow. http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2017/5/30/signing-off-in-sin-city
  11. The MG templates will go bye-bye and be replaced with Nexstar's Lakana CMS platform. As for those infamous domains names-to-come, give them time.
  12. A mashup of typical Nexstar with a cheap knockoff of the KLAS anchor/weather desks.
  13. KLAS's new lifestyle show is running into problems before its debut: http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2017/2/2/vegas-anchor-quits-before-newscast-even-launches
  14. Just do away with the mic flags altogether. "Local" is just a Nexstar euphemism for "cheap".
