Primetime was interrupted in the Eastern/Central timezones this past Tuesday for President Biden's remarks on the Uvalde, Texas school shooting.
Fox slid back local news so that Name that Tune could air in it's entirety.
NBC did not finish their airing of Young Rock so that the finale of This is Us could start on time at 9pm/8 central.

Is there any chance the tegna-verizon dispute is settled by this weekend?

Not only that, they're bringing back this look...
there simply aren't enough high-profile trials going on to make a 24/7 court channel viable, this is why the original court tv was rebranded

Laurie Dhue & Gregg Jarrett anchoring coverage of Reagan’s death in 2004.
Fox News Special Report taken from WNYW.
i seem to remember FOX interrupting a baseball game when the news broke

WEWS is now down to just one person in the sports department as Marisa Silvas announced on her Twitter she was leaving the station for a new opportunity yet to be announced. Lauren Brill is the only person at the station still on sports.
Gutting a tv station sports department isn't going to fly in a town like cleveland

BaltoMedia.net reports that for the first time in decades, the Orioles will not be aired on OTA TV, leaving all games exclusive to MASN (excluding those picked up by ESPN, MLB Network, and FOX. The Nats are also out of an OTA home.
So for cord-cutters in Charm City and the DMV, unless WTTG and/or WBFF pick up some games, you're out of luck, and MASN has no option for in market streaming.
CBS must have thrown enough of a fit about golf preemption for both WJZ and WUSA to drop local baseball

will be Sinclair continue to pay for expensive sports rights? what does WGN have without sports and news?
i would expect them too as long as the cubs, bulls, and blackhawks want to do buisness with them
-
Awful news, especially the way in which he passed. Rest in peace.
It's even more awful considering that Sinclair may soon come knocking at their front door.
There is a zero percent chance of wboc getting sold

Cuts are hitting ABC and their O&O's.

could this mean the end of the view and/or general hospital?

does this mean doug hill's days at WJLA are numbered? So rumor had it that Veronica Johnson went to WJLA when NBC4 brought in Doug Kammerer as chief meteorologist vs not promoting her. Now I see that WJLA has also brought in someone from the outside to be chief meteorologist -

News from Sinclair 6&28 in Columbus. Anchor Yolanda Harris, has announced her decision to leave ABC6 and FOX28.
https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153610451054364&id=63564314363
why is she leaving, she has been the face of fox 28 for many years?

Starting January 16 WBFF will be starting their morning newscasts at 4:30 AM (previously 5AM) and it will run through 10AM.
This leaves WJZ as the lone 5AM hold out.
i expect WJZ to make the switch to 4:30am sometime in 2017

DCRTV reports that Laura Evans will be leaving WTTG effective 12/2.

if they really wanted to separate WGNA from the local WGN they really should just change the name
why haven't they yet?

how much longer does WWL have on their current affiliation agreement with CBS?

For those interested, WGN America will be simulcasting the Cubbies victory parade tomorrow morning starting at 10am EDT. (Info accurate as of 7:30 when I called WGN themselves to confirm).
they must have gotten a lot of inquiries about the cubs parade to be showing it nationally

WSVN loves to pre-empt programming and FNS was no exception. It aired Monday Mornings at 4:00am prior to moving this. And now with FNS airing at 9:00am, TIF Sunday now airs in two blocks: 8:00-9:00 and 10:00-11:00am.
But if you ask me, it should've been shifted to 7:00-10:00am so that FNS can air at 10:00am.
how did fox let them get away with it for so long

Looks like WSVN will start airing Fox News Sunday at 9 AM instead of the overnight hours.
why didn't they air fox news sunday at 9am from the start?
-
I think they thought she was going to take that buyout offer with her age & years of services, and this was the only way to keep her on board.
9 has probably been trying to force her out for the last several years
