Couldnt they put it on their Raleigh stations WLFL/WRDC that’s a duopoly and Fresno KMPH/KFRE that a duopoly there yet they wanted to put it on 2 ABC O&Os in the same respective station essentially they’re paying the competition.

They have soup olives in Raleigh and Fresno why would they put it in a competing station in their respective cities.

Going to start calling duopolies "Soup Olives" now.  That's an amazing autocorrect.

WRDC is the ATSC3.0 lighthouse for Raleigh.  Sinclair only has one ATSC1.0 station, WLFL.

  2. I’ve been watching WBAL today (I don’t have any reason otherwise to watch Baltimore news).

WBAL is a really good news operation.  Polished reporters and some veterans who I can tell still know the art.

  3. They were in the parking lot of the sheriff’s office and it took the officers an hour and a half to get there?

Either that’s an incredibly poorly written story or there’s an even bigger story to be done about Clayton County SO.

The rings background ended up reused by WLWT in 2012 with the debut of their then-new graphics.

That open reminds me a lot of the old Raycom package.

The DOJ, and even the FCC should force companies like Dish to some form of consent degree, where notification is required.  FCC would be involved in the case of broadcast stations, especially since ABC still has their O&Os.

Are ABC affiliates affected like they were on YouTubeTV back in December?

Only the eight O&O markets are affected as far as ABC.

Apparently there is a contract in television even more ironclad than the one keeping The 700 Club on Freeform: the one Tribune signed to keep In The Heat of the Night on WGNA.

WTF Nexstar?  Do they just want NewsNation to fail as a news operation?

I've always been partial to this one. Similar styles popped up elsewhere, but I maintain that, while not the style of today, these opens have not only held up best, but still look nice now.

WTVD hasn’t entirely abandoned this.  The graphics are updated but they’ve still got the rapid speed city shots.
