1. I thought this was too complex for me to do, but I've done it. While I'm still working on WVTM, I decided that while it would be delayed for a while, since the only 2018 open on YT is a cold open. WVTM would've been uploaded today, but instead of WVTM, in it's place for today is the modern-day powerhouse that is ABC 33/40 (WBMA-LD/WCFT (WSES)/WJSU (WGWW)) that is next for their compilation.
2. My first new TV market that I'll be doing a compilation on will be Birmingham, and first off is the #1 station in that market, WBRC.
3. I found old news opens from KTVX's old days (when they had different call letters) from their website. The NMSA already has them, but I decided to upload the news opens to YouTube.
4. As much as WWJ 62 is the weakest Big 4 O&O, WKBD has got their back in order for the two to have a tag-team compilation.
5.
Lest we not forget how badass “News 15” was until Michael Kronley snaked his way in there in 1996... Also, @NESTLEH has got some compilations up his sleeve too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdwXWduavvk
Thank you. I might be uploading 3 more compilations in the future. The next ones will be the CBS tag-team from Detroit (WKBD-WWJ), and in the Boston DMA, WMUR (technically in Boston, but serves New Hampshire) and the NBC tag team of NECN & WBTS. @Info Junkie I know you don't take requests and that's fine, but I was wondering, when you update the stations that already have their compilations made, I wonder if you might do WTTV (maybe a tag-team with WXIN?) and/or WSBK soon.
6.
WRDQ will be in a separate compilation. They had more than WKCF anyways, I found out. After Pittsburgh/Orlando I might do Fort Myers, rounding out all the major markets in Florida. I still want that WINK 1993-95 open that got uncovered on this thread, if anyone can find it please send it to me. I also chose Fort Myers because it’s one of the only markets nowadays that has all of its “Big Three” stations owned by local companies. Though hopefully WBBH/WZVN don’t get gobbled by another company since Bernie Waterman passed on... And speaking of Pittsburgh, KDKA has a mean history of pulling off any videos related to them on YouTube, so I’ll have to be wary of that...
@Info Junkie Thank you and you're welcome. As for Fort Myers, the only other station that is not locally-owned would be WFTX, as it's owned by Scripps.
7. Look at this rare find from WESH-TV. Maybe ID Junkie could use this when he gets to Central Florida.
