mark 55
In my opinion, it's too busy, too vibrant, and just too much! But, it does fit better with the Scripps graphics... TennTV1983 804
Way too many visual elements involved in what is basically a major overhaul and refresh of their previous FX Group-designed set. http://www.fxgroup.tv/portfolio/wxyz/ They kept the top part of the old set (just changed the duratrans), but redid everything else. Weeters 1919
Rope lights? Seriously? Is this 1998? The top part of the set does not work well with the rest of the set at all. But I guess saving set pieces is FX's new "thing". Why build a totally new set when you can recycle half the old set and put on a fresh coat of new paint?! qunewsguy 377
People on the WXYZ homepage are echoing the comments here. People complaining the background's way too distracting, and I agree. It's just wayyyyy too bright to be a talent backdrop. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11370-wxyz-debuts-new-set/#findComment-67480 Share on other sites
