KTVD Denver Rebranding?

It looks as though that KTVD Channel 20 might be dropping the My branding. I switched over Ch. 9 briefly this morning and I thought I saw a new logo for Ch. 20.

Anyhow, here's their new logo. http://my20denver.com/

"9NEWS 20"? The hell?

Also it's interesting because I honestly don't know how Fox is regarding its MyNet affiliates' logos these days...

EDIT: Also, the site redirects to an "Under Construction" page. Uhm, are they really operating like a typical GeoCities page in the 1990s?

If KTVD is actually rebranding as "9News 20", my question is did they think this through? The whole thing is worthy of a Seinfeld-ian joke ("is it on channel 9 or is it on channel 20? What's going on?"), it doesn't make much sense to mix two station branding for general purposes. There are a lot of stations that have news share agreements with another local station that use one station's news branding for their newscasts while also including the station the newscast is produced for in the newscast's title, but to mix two related stations' brandings for general purposes is too confusing for the viewer and is too much of a risk.

I'd be surprised if they'll verbally brand it as "9News 20", and even if they do, I think that's a slight improvement from the quirky "My20". I don't own the channel. It's not "mine".

Besides, KTVD doesn't really have any branding. All the newscasts are still called 9News, still display the peacock, and still look exactly the same as a newscast on KUSA. It's a tricky station to brand anyway because a) MyTV is a deadbeat network, b) the 9News brand is so powerful that it would be silly to not use it, and c) KTVD is channel 20 over the air, but most people know it as cable channel 3, but Comcast recently switched it to channel 5. So I guess a sans serif 20 with the 9News logo is the easiest and simplest solution, and from what I've seen so far, it works.

It still doesn't explain having an Under Construction page in 2011 though.
