ToriElectra 292
Does anybody know what happened to WNBC's Doppler 4000? I know that it's still mounted to the top of the GE Building, but I haven't seen them use it in years. Did they phase it out, or what? (And does anybody know where the other stations' radars are located?) Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11693-wnbc-doppler-4000/ Share on other sites
anthonyz 26
The station's current Doppler radar is at the Dowling School of Aviation in Brookhaven on Long Island. It is a doppler radar for the News 12 networks and for aviation. The doppler 4000, the last time i checked, is still on top of the rock. kshow 166
Seems like none of the NY stations use "their" own dopplers, CBS 2 stopped using theres a while ago. They only use Titan.
