Paula Madison will be leaving KNBC and KVEA as soon as a replacement is found. Could this translate into something better for NBC 4? Here is the story:http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/CA6441185.html

She's going to head the diversity department at NBCU. A big Promotion there. As for Channel 4.. I would like to see some good things happen as they are in decline. We'll at least there's HDTV.

NBCU Names GMs for L.A., San Fran O&Os

Katy Bachman

MAY 11, 2007 -

NBC Universal Friday announced new general managers for its owned-and-operated TV stations in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Linda Sullivan, president and general manager of KNTV, the company’s owned-and-operated station in San Francisco, will move to Los Angeles to head up KNBC as president and general manager. She replaces Paula Madison, who was recently promoted to executive vp of diversity at NBCU.

Replacing Sullivan at KNTV is Rich Cerussi, who was executive vp of the NBC station group’s national sales organization.

“These promotions highlight the impressive bench strength we have in our stations group,” said Jay Ireland, president of NBCU Television Stations and Network Operations. “Linda is a tremendous leader who has continually proven herself in each of the roles she has held within our division.”

Since she was named president and GM of KNTV in 2002, Sullivan oversaw the station’s transformation from a small station serving the Salinas-Monterey, Calif., area to a large network-owned station in the nation’s fifth largest TV market. She expanded the news operation, created a new digital studio complex in San Jose, Calif., a full newsroom in San Francisco with bureaus in Oakland and Sacramento, Calif., and a new state-of-the-art digital and analog broadcast facility on San Bruno Mountain. Prior to KNTV, she was president and general manager for two other NBC owned-and-operated stations, WRC in Washington, D.C., and WJAR in Providence, R.I.

If a shake-up indeed happens, and Paul Moyer loses his seat as 5 & 11 anchor, he would die. His ego wouldn't let him live.

Yes, Moyer would have a heart attack. He has a really big ego. Just ask Ann Martin...

lol, yep, heard the clip. he is an A tipe asshole. Maybe the guys of WCBS would hire him

I met Paul once...He seemed like a quiet guy, but from what I hear from KNBC staffers and former interns he is really a bitter, vindictive angry man, who loves his job but hates everyone else. Very selfish. But I have also heard similar things about other anchors, particularly Harold Greene who has the Ron Burgundy character down to a T.

Yes, Bill Weir said that Harold Greene was an asshole too. If Paul love his job but hates everyone else, then why is he paired up with Colleen Williams. If he has such a problem with other people he can be the sole anchor of The Channel 4 News at 11PM, with no one else in sight. You guys have any clips of Paul doing his famous hit the desk while reading the news?

And he gets paid $2-3 million dollars a year too. Moyer has KNBC eating out of the palm of his hands.

He gets paid the same $alary that Chuck Scarborough gets from WNBC. Yet Scarborough isn't cocky like Moyer.
