I don't know when they got this, but it looks like they definitely got it recently. KSL (Utah's somewhat LDS-owned NBC station) has unified its radio, online, and TV presences with refreshed branding. Logo wise, the old circle 5 has been re-delegated to secondary (but the bug does flip between the circle 5 and the KSL logo, it seems)

The graphics themselves are interesting too; since this is Utah we're dealing with, everything has a nice frosty blue/white going on; while it may use Gotham just as prominently, it's definitely not Look F though. The L3's have a CBS Sports-esque flow of lines coming off them, and sorta look a bit flat in my opinion. I begin to wonder who did this package, cause they aren't that bad to be honest. And the slogan, well, I'm not sure about. (though, upon further review, they did use it from the 80's to 2004 as "The News Specialists")

I noticed this a couple months ago, so they've at least had them that long. Aside from the first 2 seconds of that open, I like the new look. Glad they kept the 5. The biggest change: no more "Eyewitness News".

I like it. Love it, in fact. Anything original is a HUGE plus, from where I sit, nowadays. With all the standardization, mandates, and in-a-can methods of doing things (whether they actually work or look good or not) spreading around station groups like the plague, it really is refreshing to see a station do something *different* for a change. Truly different, truly unique, and truly not what everybody else is doing just because everyone else is doing it.

Mike Headrick left KDVR in April to be an evening anchor there in their new three anchor format*, so perhaps the refresh happened then. Anyway, it does look nice and original.

*Despite what you'd think, it's two men and one woman anchoring, not one man with two women anchors.

This refresh happened back on September 12th, 2011 when they got the new slogan Your News Specialists. Incidentally, they used the News Specialists tagline before from 1981-2004.

And yes, they also redid the KSL NewsRadio logo to match as well

This sort of unity in branding reminds me of WBZ's old logo, WBZ radio uses a variation of the old "squares" logo with a very similar design to its TV counterpart. But aside from the Group W station font and the WBZ example, has there been this type of synergy in branding between platforms executed so well before?
