  1. Or HDNet's obscure NHL package from the early 2000s
  2. CBS did a few subtle changes this week, namely changing the down and distance arrow font to the condensed font that some graphics use, and bolding the font used for team names. The weird alternate "light mode" version of the scoreboard has also popped up.
  3. Panthers unsurprisingly have the Scripps graphics from Golden Knights games, which are serviceable Meanwhile, the Utah HC games are still using the NHL/MLB Network graphics but with SEG Media branding, implicating that these are remaining team productions rather than Scripps Sports productions from the top down (as the Utah Jazz games also have that branding and a league-provided graphics package -- which is used primarily by some WNBA games)
  4. Morgan Murphy did one more thing last week, moving WJMN's MNTV schedule to 3.3 in favor of mirroring WBUP's ABC and The CW (itself simulcast from WBKP) on 3.1 and 3.2
  5. Graphics feel like a mix of TNT with some CBS-esque stylings. Besides the size I'd say that's pretty nice. MSG also has new graphics
  6. ESPN had some minor graphics changes (different design for the timeout indicator, and an on-field down and distance arrow for the first time in quite a while) In addition, a notable change has happened in some international markets; the NFL seems to be providing unbranded "clean" feeds of more games (particularly nationally-televised games) that use generic graphics (the NFL Network ones but a little off-looking) but still contain most of the video and commentary from the U.S. English broadcast (but with things such as sponsor plugs edited out). Typically this was only done for the Super Bowl in the past (which had its own bespoke world production and different commentators to the main U.S. broadcast). How these are being used by Sky in the UK has been facing some criticism due to the quality of the resulting broadcast (especially given how Comcast owns Sky).
  7. Also of note, TNT Sports now has its own dedicated CFB graphics for its Mountain West package (don't know if they'll show up on the CFP games it has sub-licensed too because reportedly ESPN will be producing them). Scoreboard looks like a cross between the March Madness one and the Monday Night Football graphics Something else I noticed that's a bit odd about the new CBS graphics. For some reason, certain games have been using a scoreboard where the game clock area is white instead of black, and this has happened on games with both the new and old scoreboard.
  8. ESPN is serious enough about the SEC on ABC that even the BottomLine has an SEC on ABC logo instead of an ABC one. Something else I noticed was that the separate ESPN on ABC bug is gone on college football now, with that logo replacing the usual ESPN CFB insignia on replays instead. Also CBS's mistake of a scoreboard refresh: you thought that team name font looked bad enough with abbreviations? Meanwhile the temporary ESPN graphics for college football on The CW are gone. Replaced with what is now basically the old CBS one with a different font. For some reason I was expecting them to take the Pac-12 Network graphics and shove a CW logo into them (given that its staff is producing the Pac-2 games) or use some version of the third variant of the ACC basketball graphics. I wonder if they gave them to Raycom for the ACC games too.
  9. Due to some software changes (adopting XPression for on-campus productions), Big Ten Network now has a dedicated graphics package again for the first time since 2017, replacing the old Fox graphics: this is primarily for sports outside of football and basketball (which continue to use the corresponding Fox graphics). I kinda like it, though the "one-size-fits-all" nature of it makes soccer look a bit odd.
  10. The Cardinals one is one NFL Network did use briefly in 2021-22 (mainly for the Senior Bowl on NFLN and Super Bowl world feed, which were still using the old, pre-2014 Thursday Night Football graphics; this got replaced by the Exclusive Game Series graphics)
  11. ESPN posted a sizzle reel focusing on the new SEC on ABC package, and I think we're definitely getting a new ESPN College Football scoreboard. It's interesting, giving me the more compact vibes of the basketball one at least. I can't see them being exclusive to SEC games (the existing package, except for the scoreboard, aged pretty well)
  12. The Rickwood MLB game has a black and white version of the "retro" graphics from the Field of Dreams games, which still looks nicer than their normal graphics imo. Meanwhile Copa America, as usual for Fox, is using their default soccer graphics. However, it appears that Fox finally has new default soccer graphics, replacing the 2017 rectangles. TUDN and TSN (Canada) are both using completely different scoreboards, with TUDN recoloring their stock one blue and white to match the tournament branding, and TSN using the world feed
  13. A side effect of Golf Channel's changes is that their bug is now in the lower-left for both Golf Channel and NBC golf coverage. Which now gives you an awkward gap below the leaderboard graphic because it was positioned with the assumption of the bug being there. Meanwhile if the US Olympic Trials coverage are any indication, some form of the college football graphics are now NBC's default
  14. Golf Channel has switched its ticker graphics to a variant of the one used by other NBC Sports programming. It's not too bad with the different typography.
  15. One KBO broadcaster seems to like YES's MLB scoreboard (this is basically a boxy flat version of it)
