ED2 144 Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 What other companies provide TV weather services for stations these days? All I can think of are Weather Central, WSI, and AccuWeather. You can also probably add WeatherMetrics to that list...

ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Weather Metrics has been acquired by The Weather Channel, but will continue to remain independent. TWC should provide that service to the NBC affiliates. I know that a lot (majority?) of NBC affils. presented a WeatherPlus digital sub, but since W+ shutdown, many subs switched to one of the weather networks above. Since TWC acquired Weather Metrics, maybe provision of a new Weather Channel digital sub for NBC affils is in the works. That or I'm just hoping .

Evening Magazine 18 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Sad to see WXC be eventually dissolved into WSI. I liked the two separate products. AccuWeather should be named Accu-Crash... Baron's Radar is OK, but nothing else.
