Ntropolis 593 Posted January 21, 2013 Share Posted January 21, 2013 WWAY's news director, Scott Pickey, was arrested Monday after trying to enter the Wilmington MLK Day Parade route with one of the station's news vehicles. Pickey hit a police officer and was charged with "failure to obey and reckless driving to endanger." According to WWAY, police would not allow employees to leave the station's parking lot to get news coverage (WWAY is located along the parade route).
