Geoffrey 861
Yesterday, the head of Fox suggested it, and now Les Moonves is saying the same thing: From The New York Times' Brian Stelter: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/10/business/media/aereo-has-tv-networks-circling-the-wagons.html CBS has already had some exploratory talks with cable operators about taking its local station signals off the air. “For now, we’re talking about the New York-Connecticut area,” Mr. Moonves said, because that’s the only area where Aereo now operates. Aereo provides subscribers with New York-area stations using antennas to capture the over-the-air signals. Stations (and networks) are worried about losing the retrans fees provided by cable providers. Seems like a drastic change in response to a little-known company but I guess they're trying to stay ahead of this. 10Viewer 334
Dumb idea. Lot of folks have dropped cable altogether. Big media just gets more carried away.
