MorningNews 1448
Lol AJ Clemente and that young lady make me very nervous about studying journalism! Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12733-someones-in-trouble-at-khq/#findComment-84428 Share on other sites
Thundershock MN 169
Always assume your mic is "hot" and act like you are on the air live. Isn't that the number one rule they teach you in broadcast journalism? TVIntheDesert 183
Aren't most field cameras now file-based instead of tape-based, even in mid-size markets like Spokane? If so, this is a remember to SAVE THE RIGHT FILE! Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12733-someones-in-trouble-at-khq/#findComment-84434 Share on other sites
MidwestTV 1232
First of all, how could that even happen? Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12733-someones-in-trouble-at-khq/#findComment-84436 Share on other sites
hathawaynson2 39
I like to physically know why did it even happen in the first place? Was it poor communication or lack of interaction between program director and/or reporter who did the story, if so how??? did they even read protocols or procedures about editing an story or doing an produced newscast for a fox affiliate? If so why did it happen? Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12733-someones-in-trouble-at-khq/#findComment-84437 Share on other sites
TheRob 937
This happened to me on the radio once. In a rush to put my story on the air, I did not proof it. I had errantly used a bad take, and it aired. Fortunately, I did not use profanity. This is a story about strawberries, though. They probably had at least two hours to edit. That is just bad workmanship on the part of the reporter or photog, not checking the finished product before it airs.
