JoseRM303 171 Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 According to the website FTVLive, Sibilia Vargas has left the Los Angeles CBS Affiliate and is headed to WNBC. Now the question is what shows will she anchor? Mornings is already Darlene, Shiba has the 5 & 11 shows, and Erika is the Noon & 7 anchor 3 days a week. Daybreak 288 Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 I can see her doing the 4 pm and 6 pm newscast but her and Shiba name are spell so alike even though they sound totally different. WNBC has something brewing up their sleeves and I'm excited to find out. For all we know she could be going to WCBS or WPIX for what it worth, but we will soon see where she turn up. If she goes to WNBC I can see her replacing either Erika on weekend evenings or Contessa on weekend mornings. If she goes to WPIX, then more then likely she's replacing Frances on WPIX's morning show. I think that because even though they have not said what will be on at 2pm on wnbc they are already saying Steve Harvey at 3 and Ellen at 4 so unless they change that no 4pm newscast, and there is also no indication any anchors are leaving. It's funny how the article points out that Shiba and Sibila (aside from there names) look and sound very similar. Well what I don't understand was before Rob came to WNBC and after Shiba took over the 11 PM show, Erika not once ever said I'm "Erika Tarantal filling in for so and so" so my guess is they are making her permanent on the noon show 5 days a week and the 7 PM show 5 days a week. Don't think the station has any plans of a 2-person team on the 6 PM show. I mean heck Chuck has solo anchored the 6 Show since before Sue even left. Also side note I still see Sibilia as more of an entertainment/features reporter rather then a hard-core news anchor.
